I have installed the Salbii Theme on www.funkhaus-halle.eu - I really love it but since a few weeks there are problems concerning uploading images to pages and also media library. First, I thought it has to do with WP in general, so I did everything you can find via Google. Then I activated a Standard theme for wordpress and tried again and it worked. I also tested the upload on another site which has the Salbii theme - same problem.
By the way - wordpress says "HTTP Error"
Now, I hope that you can help how I can upload images.
If you have Google'd this issue, you'll already know this issue is a common issue with Wordpress Media Uploads and the fix is different for different hosts/server setups.
We haven't experienced this with Salbii before, but when we have come across with other themes, we have been able to resolve it by updating the PHP on the host server to PHP 5.6 (or above).
Have you tried logging into your server control panel to see if you can update your PHP?
and thank you for your quick answer. I checked so many threads about this topic and tried nearly everything. PHP version is up-to-date - PHP 7.0 - so this cannot be the reason.
I came to the conclusion that it has something to with the Theme cause when I activate a standard theme all uploads work fine. So, would be great if you could have a look at this issue again.
No one has reported this error to us before, so it is likely to have something to do with your setup or hosting environment. We are not able to reproduce the problem here either, so if you would like us to investigate, please provide us with the following in a private reply:
The Wordpress login details do not appear to work. Please can you check and confirm the WP username and password.
We have resolved the issue you were having by updating the BFI Thumb script used in the theme. You should find it now works with your host's setup.
Have you tried disabling your other plugins to make sure none of them is causing the problem with the responsive gallery?
If the problem still exists when your other plugins are disabled, please provide us with a link to an example on your website.
We have just successfully tested the media upload facility on your site and it appears to be working normally.
Dropbox is also failing to display this image.
It has been scanned on a desktop scanner at maximum quality (jpeg quality 12) and resolution (1200dpi). To use it on the web you should resave it at a smaller size at 72dpi.
Thank you for your quick answer again!
